Joel Miller Presents Joul Music
Joel Miller is an award-winning saxophonist and composer based in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Raised in a musical family, he studied Jazz Performance at McGill University and has performed with notable artists including Geoffrey Keezer, Brian Blade, and Kurt Rosenwinkel.
Miller’s career highlights include winning a JUNO Award for Best Contemporary Jazz Album with Swim (2012), ECMA awards for Swim, Dream Cassette (2016), and UNSTOPPABLE (2019). He has received multiple grants for composition, recording, and residencies, and leads workshops internationally, continually exploring the intersection of jazz and contemporary music.

Line Woods
Line Woods is a performer in high demand as a stand-up comedian, master of ceremonies, screenwriter, filmmaker and all-around hilarious storyteller. She performs all over the Maritimes in both official languages and proves that big laughs come in small packages.
Line made history as the first woman ever to win the CBC Radio Open Mic Stand-Up Contest at the Hubcap Comedy Festival in Moncton in 2020. She has performed at the Hubcap Comedy Festival (Moncton) and Festival RIEN (Caraquet). She can be heard on SiriusXM and is featured on a Just for Laughs audio compilation album available on all streaming platforms.
Line was the creator and head writer of a French television sketch comedy show that aired in 2022, and is busy editing the same show for an English adaptation.

Reuben and the Dark frontman Reuben Bullock is known for writing songs that search for light in impossible places. Across five albums, the Calgary songwriter has turned grief, endurance, and hope into expansive, communal anthems. The Get Alongs
Formed in 2017, the four-piece, Harrison Pickernell (vocals, rhythm guitar), Rory Pickernell (lead guitar), Eric Wood (bass), and Tristan Catenacci (drums), have spent the better part of a decade refining a sound that pulls from 60s garage, 70s power pop, and 90s psych without getting stuck in any one lane. Early releases leaned scrappy and instinctive, equal parts surf shimmer and blown-out indie rock. With Second To None, that same DNA is still there, just sharpened. The edges are cleaner, but the intent hits harder, the hooks land heavier, and the band knows exactly when to let things breathe and when to push it just past the point of comfort.

Somewhere between art rock and alternative rock, Stoopheads blend heartfelt melodies with chaotic, euphoric energy. Their sound mixes folk-rock humility, shoegazy textures, and driving rhythms born from a love of energetic live shows.
Kitsch
Kitsch has become the maritime music scene’s newest mainstay since blazing onto the stage in summer 2025. Their blend of indie pop, psych rock, and jazz fusion sounds futuristic yet familiar, helped by spacey synth tones and 3-part vocal harmonies. Lyrically, Kitsch explores romance, existence, and politics through a sarcastic, absurdist lens. Choke
Choke is a band from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada that formed in 1994. Initially inspired by 90s skate punk, the band began carving out a name for themselves. As they began touring and establishing themselves as a working band their sound shifted and evolved, becoming increasingly complex; this separated them from anything mainstream and they are known as pioneers in the Canadian tech-punk, or math-rock scene. The original band disbanded in 2007 after releasing six records and touring relentlessly across North America for over a decade.
Kaonashi
Kaonashi’s music is difficult to define. It combines death metal growling, unexpected time changes and technical flourishes that bring to mind nineties metalcore legends like Coalesce and The Dillinger Escape Plan. This is exemplified on songs like the eerie “Fairmount Park After Dark,” which is as evil-sounding as it is energetic and showcases the act at the height of their powers. Although the act was started by vocalist Peter Rono and guitarist/vocalist Alex Hallquist in 2012, things really solidified for Kaonashi in 2016 when drummer Ryan “Pao” Paolilli joined the band and they started touring all over the country, eventually gaining the interest of Equal Vision Records who released the band’s sophomore full-length Dear Lemon House, You Ruined Me: Senior Year in 2021.

Andrew Sisk is a Montreal-based composer and songwriter who creates music for films and television. Formerly a touring performing musician in several Canadian bands, Sisk followed fatherhood into the world of education and composition. Having grown up amongst the forests of New Brunswick, Sisk infuses his unique pastoral sensibility and earthy aesthetic into his film scores and songs.
A celebration of his songwriting was created and released by the Acadian Embassy label, celebrating his compositions with a tribute album titled “We Have the Same Lights Overhead“, featuring esteemed artists like Jon McKiel, Jenn Grant, Daniel Ledwell, and Michael Feuerstack.
