A message from Mista D:

I’m back at it with another Bring-Your-Own-Vinyl event! But this time I am bringing a new chapter to my new surroundings in the beautiful city of Fredericton, New Brunswick, at an amazing location known as The Cap.
The Cap is a bar that is also a record store during the day, and a live music venue in the evenings; A perfect setting for this event!

How does this event work??

It’s as simple as it sounds. You bring a few records you would like to hear. I will keep them safe and play your song selections while you flip through the bins of records for sale, or chill with a nice drink at the bar, or just mingle with other likeminded music fans.

Who is Mista D??

I’m a family man who is addicted to music and art. I have spent many years working in the music industry, mainly as the lead singer for ska/punk band, The Salads, and Bob Marley cover band, Mob Barley & The Railers, among others.

In 2016 I began hosting/DJing a Bring-Your-Own-Vinyl monthly event that lasted for almost 10 years in my hometown of Stratford, Ontario. Through these events, I met so many amazing people who shared the love of music and collecting vinyl.

I’ve also hosted radio shows, podcasts, and worked at a major music store, all of which have expanded my musical knowledge and helped me to be better at recommending music to others as well.

This past summer my family and I moved to New Brunswick, and we are loving it. Since I am new to the maritimes, I am still learning about the area, and excited to meet some likeminded individuals who share a love of music and collecting records.

If this sounds to you like a fun way to spend a few hours of your Saturday afternoon, please join us on November 1st anytime between 3pm and 6pm, as I would love to meet you and listen to some records together!
